About
Hi! I’m Taylor, a senior majoring in environmental studies. I’ll graduate this year with my bachelor’s degree and the following year with my master’s degree in environmental justice. After college, I plan to attend law school and eventually become a public defender.
I joined UROP as a research assistant at the Institute for Social Research, where I studied whether greater knowledge of sustainability leads people to make more sustainable choices. When I first started the project, I never imagined myself working with survey data or running analyses, but the experience showed me that research can take many different forms. I’m excited to be a Peer Facilitator because I’ll get to learn about my students’ projects, help them through the confusing parts of research, and connect them with opportunities they may not have known about.
Outside of school, I love writing poetry, playing video games, traveling, and trying new things, especially when they give me a good story to write in my diary later. Some of my favorite adventures have included skydiving and exploring Hocking Hills. I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, trying new restaurants, and starting at least five creative projects at a time. I’m looking forward to meeting my students and having a fun year together!
