Anna Luurtsema, PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania and U-M alum, is lead author of a recent article in Scientific Reports (Nature.com) on livestock management in the Late Chalcolithic southwest Asia, with co-authors Henry Wright and Alicia Ventresca-Miller, UMMAA curators; Kara Larson, U-M PhD student; and University of Georgia alum James Strawn. The article, "Diverse livestock management strategies sustained the emerging chalcolithic town of Tepe Farukhabad, Iran," shares the results of carbon and oxygen isotope analyses of Early Uruk to Late Uruk caprine molars.
