At the 2025 annual meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America, held in Philadelphia in early January, several coveted awards were presented--among them the Anna Marguerite McCann Award for Fieldwork Reports, which the committee awarded to UMMAA director Michael L. Galaty and co-author Lorenc Bejko, archaeology professor at the University of Tirana in Albania. Dr. Galaty was there to accept the award in person; co-author Bejko could not attend, but sent his acceptance speech by video. The book, Archaeological Investigations in a Northern Albanian Province: Results of the Projekti Arkeologjik i Shkodrës (PASH), was published by UMMAA Press in 2023. Congratulations to the authors!!
