The UMMAA is pleased to present Jennifer Larios and Kara Larson, doctoral candidates at the Museum, who will speak on Friday, March 19, 12-1 p.m., as part of the virtual UMMAA Brown Bag Lecture Series.
Jennifer Larios will discuss her research in a talk entitled “The Pottery of Chincha, Revisited,” on the nature of production, distribution, and exchange of pottery in the Chincha Valley of Peru.
Kara Larson will discuss her research in a talk entitled “Rising Complexity on the Frontier: Isotopic Evidence of Administration at Iron Age Khirbet Summeily, Israel,” on the use of isotopic analyses of intra-tooth samples to provide evidence that the site of Khirbet Summeily was an administrative outpost during the Iron Age IIA.
