Life is informal at the field station. Bring clothes that are comfortable for fieldwork and to wear around campus. Sturdy shoes and clothes you can layer are important. The climate in northern Michigan is ever-changing, so prepare for cold nights (especially during the spring) and hot days. Keep in mind that most fieldwork will continue during wet and rainy days.
Bedding and linens are not provided, so please bring adequate bedding. Your instructors will reach out to you before the start of classes with any additional course-specific things you may need. Review the Packing List while preparing for your stay.
