2024 UMBS Courses for Four-week Spring and Summer Terms

The 2024 Course Application is closed. Classes for the 2025 field season will be announced by December 2024. Applications for those classes and scholarships at the University of Michigan Biological Station in northern Michigan will open at that same time. We welcome all majors and minors. Most courses have a research component. No prior field experience is required.

Courses are taught during four-week spring and summer terms.

All students can be considered for UMBS scholarship funding, including guest and international students.

Courses can vary from year to year.

Spring Field Classes

May 21 - June 20, 2024

Choose one Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday course, and one Thursday, Friday, Saturday course.

Summer Field Classes

July 2 - August 1, 2024

Choose one Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday course, and one Thursday, Friday, Saturday course.

OR choose only the GLACE Program.
