12:00 AM

This is part of our Summer Lecture Series. All events are free and open to the public.

In the summer, 2010, trackers from the federal and state governments live trapped a wolf cub in Emmet County. This evidence of breeding confirmed the return of wolves to Michigan’s lower peninsula after a century’s absence. Learn about Michigan’s timber wolves and hear an update on the county’s resident pack. Mike Crowley is a retired professor from the City Colleges of Chicago and a volunteer with the Timber Wolf Alliance. Mike Roell is a wildlife biologist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
