Booking a Desk

If your department has hoteling spaces available within the self-scheduling space reservation platform, those spaces are denoted with QR codes at each desk. The easiest way to reserve these desks on-the-go is with the mobile app. You can also book a desk through the web dashboard.

Using QR Codes to Book a Desk

If you plan to scan QR codes to book a desk, you'll need the Robin mobile app. The app is available in the App Store for Apple devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Find an available desk at one of the LSA Technology Services locations.
Scan the QR code with your phone's camera and hit the notification to open Robin.
Hit Reserve to book it for the day.
If you scan a desk that is unavailable, you'll be taken to the office map to choose another desk.

Booking A Desk with the Web Dashboard

There are a couple of ways to book a desk: from the Workweek view or from the Office view.

Workweek View:

Navigate to the Workweek view under Schedule.
Select your desired building and week from the top.
Find the day you'd like to reserve, and click Book A Desk.

Next you'll see a map of the location with available desks on the left side. Edit the booking time as needed.

Choose your desk on the map or use the dropdowns on the right to select a desk.
Once you've selected a desk and confirmed the reservation, click Book.

Now you should see your reservation in the Workweek view, and your status will be changed from Remote to In Office (assuming your status was Remote before you reserved a desk. This will depend on how your working hours are set up in Google.)

Office View:

Navigate to Office in the main menu.
Edit the Location, date & time as needed.
Click the Book a Desk button.

Now select an end time for your reservation and search by amenities if desired.
Choose your desk on the map or use the dropdowns on the right to select a desk.
Hit Reserve.

You should receive an email notification to confirm your reservation.
