New inventions and ideas are rapidly improving the prospects for bright muon beams for a potential Higgs Factory and energy frontier Muon Collider. We are moving on multiple fronts, including those synergistic with global and national energy goals, toward understanding the needed technology. Through one possible scenario, starting with the luminosity frontier machine at Fermilab, “Project X”, and continuing through the upgraded neutrino physics program, we envision the path toward the energy-frontier muon collider and restoring U.S. leadership in particle physics.
