Mircea Mustata

I am interested in singularities of algebraic varieties and the role thesesingularities play in the global geometry of higher-dimensional varieties.My research involves invariants of singularities such as log canonicalthresholds, minimal log discrepancies, multiplier ideals, Bernstein-Satopolynomials, and F-thresholds. Over the past few years I have beeninvolved in a long-term project with Mihnea Popa, studying certaininvariants of hypersurface singularities (Hodge ideals) that arise natu-rally from Saito's theory of mixed Hodge modules.
