About
Max Stoneman is a graduate of the College of LSA, who majored in Political Science with a minor in Environment. During his time in student government, he was incredibly interested in student advocacy, international affairs, and public policy.
Max began his career in LSA Student Government in Fall 2020, and served as both an Appointed and Elected Representative. He was first elected to the position of Elected Representative in October 2020 and was re-elected in October 2021. He served as the Vice Chair of the Election Code Review and Amendment Formation Task Force from April to December 2020. He then served as Judiciary Oversight and Election Code Amendment Subcommittee Chair and Internal Review Committee Vice Chair from March 2021 to April 2022. In April 2022, he was appointed to the position of Counsel.
In all of his capacities, Max worked to improve the efficiency and efficacy of LSA Student Government. He strongly believes that student governments can be useful tools for creating large-scale changes on college campuses, and wrote an article on the subject in the Michigan Daily.
