About
Max Stoneman is a fourth-year student in the College of LSA, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Environment. He is a passionate environmentalist interested in student advocacy, international affairs, and public policy. .
He has been in LSA Student Government since Fall 2020, and has served as both an Appointed and Elected Representative. He was first elected to the position of Elected Representative in October 2020 and was re-elected in October 2021. He served as the Vice Chair of the Election Code Review and Amendment Formation Task Force from April to December 2020. He then served as Judiciary Oversight and Election Code Amendment Subcommittee Chair and Internal Review Committee Vice Chair from March 2021 to April 2022. In April 2022, he was elected to the position of Counsel.
In all of his capacities, Max has worked to improve the efficiency and efficacy of LSA Student Government. He strongly believes that student governments can be useful tools for creating large-scale changes on college campuses, and wrote an article on the subject in the Michigan Daily.
