Platform Speech (Who are you, why are you running, and why should a person vote for you?): I am past LSASG Representative, looking to be elected again to pursue an ambitious set of goals, including:
- Promoting transparency in LSASG by publishing attendance and voting records, and by disseminating LSASG resolutions to a wider audience.
- Reaching out to student orgs to get their ideas for actions the government can take on their behalf.
- Working closely with University departments to ensure that student needs are being met; this includes in housing, dining, and academic spheres.
It’s time for LSASG to serve the students that it claims to represent. I look forward to bringing change to the government with a focus on helping people from all backgrounds. On Election Day, remember to make the “bright” choice, and vote for Watt!

1. Should our student government publish voting/attendance records of its members?
Yes. Transparency is very important in a government like ours, and one way that this is reflected is in the actions of our representatives. I am proud to have sponsored legislation related to transparency during my previous term in LSA SG, and I would enjoy the chance to pursue other transparency-related issues if elected to LSA SG.
2. How would you bring new diverse ideas and representation of the student body into student government?
I will bring a unique perspective to the government given the time I have already spent in the organization; this experience allows me to hit the ground running with my projects. I believe LSA SG should take active steps to gain diverse perspectives by reaching out to student groups on campus to gain their perspectives.
