Winter 2026 Elections

 

Overview:

The Winter 2026 LSA SG Elections will be held on March 25 and 26, 2026 to elect nineteen elected representatives. You can vote through vote.umich.edu

Filing for the Winter 2026 LSA Student Government Election opened February 23rd and closes Sunday, March 8th at 11:59 PM. You can file as a prospective candidate here

Election Timeline:

  • Monday, February 23rd: Filing Period Opens (for candidates and parties)
  • Sunday, March 8th @ 11:59 PM: Filing Deadline (for candidates and parties)
  • Tuesday, March 10th @ 5:30 PM: Candidates Meeting (Optional, but strongly encouraged)
  • Sunday, March 8th: Campaign Period Begins
  • Wednesday, March 11th OR Wednesday, March 18th at 8:00 PM: Attend an LSA SG General meeting in 1040 LSA Building.This is a mandatory requirement of candidates. If there is a conflict, please email lidiac@umich.edu
  • Wednesday, March 18th @ 5:00 PM: Presidential Forum (mandatory for Pres/VP candidates)
  • Sunday March 22nd @ 11:59 PM: Platform submission due
  • Monday March 23nd @ 11:59 PM: Candidate withdrawal deadline
  • Wednesday, March 25th @ 12:00 AM: Voting period begins. All voting will occur on vote.umich.edu
  • Thursday, March 26th @ 10:00 PM: Voting period ends
  • Thursday, March 26th @ 10:00 PM: Purchase/Expenditure form submission deadline
