About
Lauren Alberti is a PhD Candidate in IPAMAA. She studies figurines from the Bronze Age Aegean and how ritual and gender intersect in cult spaces. For her dissertation, Lauren considers the physicality of three-dimensional figural objects and the ways in which their sensorial qualities, particularly touch, play into how gender is perceived and constructed. As a Research Assistant working with the DiSKO project, she helps create digital 3D models of objects for the Kelsey Museum.
