The Kelsey Collection
The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology has one of the finest collections of antiquities in North America, with over 150,000 artifacts from North Africa, West Asia, and the broader Mediterranean region.
Archival Holdings
In addition to tens of thousands of ancient objects, the Kelsey Museum houses a wealth of textual and photographic information on early 20th-century archaeological fieldwork.
Documentary Archives
The Kelsey’s archives contain excavation records, papers, and correspondence from many of the expeditions we have sponsored over the past century, including Karanis, Seleucia, Terenouthis, and Pisidian Antioch, among others.
Photographic Archives
Our extensive photographic archive contains images not only of various Michigan-sponsored field projects but also of the European, Middle Eastern, and North African travels of key figures from the Kelsey Museum’s past.
