About
Hannah is a PhD Candidate in the Interdepartmental Program in Ancient History. Her research interests include ancient Macedonian history and archaeology, with a particular interest in the Antigonid dynasty. Her dissertation, "After Alexander: Macedonian Identity in the Hellenistic and Roman Periods," uses frameworks of collective identity and cultural memory to examine archaeological, literary, numismatic, and epigraphic materials to understand how Macedonian identity was constructed, symbolically represented, and utilized in the ancient world. While at the University of Michigan, she has completed a certificate in Museum Studies, and she currently works with the Pella Urban Dynamics Project in Pella, Greece, as one of the field survey supervisors.
