Nicola Barham is Assistant Curator and Assistant Professor of History of Art. She was previously Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at both the Art Institute of Chicago and the American University of Beirut, and Chester Dale Fellow at the National Gallery. Her research reconstructs aesthetic categories that are emic to the ancient Roman world and applies these categories to the interrogation of Roman art. She received her PhD from the University of Chicago.
