About
Angelo Pitillo, Director of the ELI, has more than thirty years’ experience as a teacher and administrator in English for academic purposes programs in the U.S., Japan, and the Middle East. His teaching and research interests include language program administration, international student support, and teaching with technology. He is honored to work with ELI's outstanding ELI faculty to provide international students and scholars at U-M with the language and academic support they need to thrive in their academic programs and on into their professional lives. In addition to his leadership role, Angelo teaches Spoken and Written Grammar for Academic Contexts in the ELI's graduate English for Academic Purposes program.
