The end of the semester is a stressful time for all students, and international students may also be experiencing stress being far from home, adapting to a new culture, and these days, worrying about immigration issues. All of this can have an impact on academic performance and even English communication skills. This interactive workshop introduces strategies and resources to help you thrive in this challenging moment and beyond. We will focus on the practice of mindful listening, which promotes a reduction of anxiety and stress, increased focus, and greater self-compassion. You’ll also learn about the language of mindfulness and improve your English listening comprehension, too! Please come prepared to participate actively in small groups.
