For over 40 years, the English Language Institute's Conversation Circles have been building community for international students and scholars at the University of Michigan with informal language practice and cross-cultural exchange. U-M students, faculty, and staff volunteer their time and experience to lead Circles, supporting U-M’s international community and learning about world cultures while building their own professional intercultural and leadership skills.
Your generosity supports semi-annual fall and spring gatherings that bring all circle participants and facilitators together for seasonal “Michigan” games and treats, and even more community building and networking opportunities. Every gift - no matter how small! - helps make these events a success!
