- Frequently Asked Questions
Comparative Literature's Director of Undergraduate Studies is the primary advisor for the Translation Studies minor. Students interested in pursuing the minor should first make an appointment to meet with the DUS. The DUS will assist students in declaring the minor when they are ready.
Students who are working on their capstone project proposal may also schedule an advising appointment with the Translation Studies Advisor.
During their first meeting, the student and the DUS will devise a plan to satisfy therequirements. Any changes to the plan must be approved by the DUS, who will provide ongoing advising regarding course selection and planning for the capstone project. The DUS consults with other members of the faculty on topics and advisors for the capstone.
Appointments can be made on our website. If the online scheduler does not have appointment times that work for you, please contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) at dus-complit@umich.edu to seek a meeting time. If you have urgent questions, you may contact the Comparative Literature Student Services Coordinator at complit.student.services@umich.edu.
