William Stroebel's book, Literature's Refuge, has been recognized as Best Book in Mediterranean Studies by the Mediterranean Seminar, the leading representative of the field.
Literature's Refuge was chosen from a large number of highly original and sophisticated entries from 2024 to 2026, spanning all academic disciplines and periods, from anthropology to history, from the ancient to the medieval to the modern era.
