Ph.D. in Classical Studies
About
Shaun earned an AB in Greek and Latin from Franklin & Marshall College, an advanced certificate in post-baccalaureate classical studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and then an MA in Greek and Latin from the University of Maryland where he wrote a thesis on archaism in late Euripidean cantica and a commentary on Accius' Atreus. Before returning to Classics via the post-baccalaureate program, he worked in engineering and program management. His primary areas of interest are Greek and Roman tragedy (especially fragmentary texts), textual criticism and commentary writing, stylistics, and the history of classical scholarship. Aeschylus is his favorite author.
