Ph.D. Candidate in Classical Studies
Rebecca Sanders graduated with High Honors with a BA in Greek and Latin from Swarthmore College in 2021. She received her MA in Classics with an emphasis in Ancient History from the University of Arizona in the spring of 2023. While there, she wrote her MA thesis titled “A Rehabilitation of Homer and Linear B: Points of Connection between Anax/Wanax, Potnia, and Temenos.”
Rebecca has also participated in archaeological excavations including the Horrea Agrippiana Project in Rome (Summer 2018) and Mt Lykaion Survey and Excavation Project (2019, 2022). Her research interests include the Aegean Bronze Age, Homeric Epic, and points of continuity between the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age as elucidated by the comparison of Homeric Epics and the Linear B tablets.
