About
Kaitlin graduated from Bard College in 2020 with a BA in Classical Studies. Her thesis, titled “Oaths, Phantoms, Contagion, Truth: The Crisis of Logos in Fifth-Century Athenian Culture,” focused on works by Euripides, Gorgias, Sophocles, and Thucydides. She is interested in the fifth-century Athenian intellectual atmosphere as expressed through various genres and authors, as well as the writings of Aelius Aristides and other Second Sophistic authors.
In Winter 2022, Kaitlin's article, "First Edition and Translation of an Unpublished Poem (1566) from Johanna Otho to Camille de Morel," was published in Humanistica Lovaniensia. She is also pursuing a certificate in Classical Reception Studies.
In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys reading and playing with her two cats.
