Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Joe (he/him/his) graduated from Boston University in 2020 with a BA in Ancient Greek and Latin (summa cum laude). After graduating he worked as a Latin teacher at the Institute of Christ the King in Chicago. His main areas of interest include Latin literature, specifically Roman comedy and its ancient and modern reception, the Roman theatrical experience, and the lives of non-elites in Roman society. Joe is also interested in the performance of ancient theater and participated in the 2023 National Endowment for the Humanities Institute on the Performance of Roman Comedy.
