About
After completing the Liceo Classico in Italy, Ginevra moved to the U.S., where she continued her studies on the ancient Mediterranean world. She received a B.A. in Psychology and Classics from the University of Arizona, and an M.A. in Classics from the University of Colorado Boulder. Ginevra has participated in fieldwork in Italy, Spain, Croatia and Greece. Currently, she is a staff member on the Pella Urban Dynamics Project, with the University of Michigan, and the Attica Regional Integrated Environmental and Material Survey (ARTEMIS) project, a synergasia between the Greek Ephorate and the University of Birmingham. Her research interests broadly span the archaeology of religion, architecture and spatial organization, and coroplastic studies. Her dissertation investigates the experience of nocturnal ritual activity in Attic sanctuaries in the Classical period, integrating architectural, material, and iconographic evidence.
