Doctoral Candidate in Ancient History
About
Noah studied history at UCL, Oxford, and the Warburg Institute before joining IPAH at Michigan. He works on the cultural and intellectual history of Late Antiquity and the City of Rome, with a particular interest in Christianisation and the afterlives of Roman monuments. Noah follows these threads in his dissertation, 'Late Antiquity in the New World', which explores how the rediscovery of Rome’s postclassical past in the sixteenth century shaped attempts at Christianisation in the early Spanish Americas.
