NOBCChE - National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers

The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) at the University of Michigan is dedicated to developing the skills of those in chemistry, chemical engineering, and the related fields. We aim to create a sense of community, highlight and increase the engagement of Black people in the sciences, and enact social change through outreach activities.

NOBCChE hosts monthly meetings with professionals in academia and industry to provide our members with invaluable insight. Regional and national conferences allow for networking opportunities and highlighting the exciting work of other Black chemists and chemical engineers. Our outreach activities serve to inspire the next generation of Black scientists at an early age.
