Major Advising:
Biophysics advisors are available to provide advice on:
- The requirements for the two tracks
- Guidance with choosing courses
- Guidance on the various careers open to students with Biophysics degrees
- Suitability of the major as a foundation for further professional training such as graduate or medical school
Major advisors have authority in exceptional circumstances to modify departmental requirements, but not college-level requirements.
There are four times when students are required to see advisors:
- To declare a major (the sooner the better). It is not necessary to complete all the prerequisites prior to declaring a major.
- To declare a track within the major (if not done at the initial declaration stage).
- To file a major release form (usually first term senior year)
- To make any change in a major plan that would require an exception to be made in the course requirements.
Minor Advising
Biophysics advisors are available to provide advice on coursework and compatability with other majors. NOTE: Biophysics minors must also see an advisor to file a minor release form (usually first term senior year).
Additional questions can be directed to the Biophysics Student Services Office.
