Theresa Braunschneider

Over the course of her academic career, Dr. Braunschneider has been a scholar of 18th-century British literature and the history of sexuality, a tenured English professor at a liberal arts college, a pedagogical consultant for faculty and GSIs, and a leader of DEI initiatives at U-M's teaching center, CRLT.  Long ago, she earned a Ph.D. from U-M in English & Women's Studies.

These days, she heads the RC's First-Year Writing Seminar program and teaches in both the Social Theory & Practice and Creative Writing & Literature programs. She also serves as a general Academic Advisor for RC students.
