Sydney Green-Stone, MSW is the Academic Services Coordinator. She graduated from the Residential College with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing and Psychology. She received a Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University.
Sydney has professional experience in college access through nonprofit organizations serving youth and young adults in Detroit, Saginaw, and Washtenaw County. She also has experience in career advising, having served as a graduate assistant at the University Advising and Career Development Center (UACDC) at Eastern. Sydney's passionate about empowering individuals holistically to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals. Sydney returned to the RC in 2026 after serving as the Career Services Coordinator in the Department of Statistics.
She's excited to be back with the RC! The students, staff, and faculty are what make the RC the spectacular place it is, and Sydney looks forward to supporting this great community. In her role, Sydney advises RC students, coordinates all RC curriculum, and manages orientation.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys watching horror movies and anime, spending time with her husband, and playing with her pets.
