Katie is a marketing and communications strategist with experience leading integrated campaigns across recruitment, student engagement, and alumni relations within higher education. She specializes in aligning messaging across stakeholders, developing comprehensive communications strategies, and using data-informed insights to strengthen brand identity and drive engagement.
As Marketing & Outreach Specialist for the University of Michigan Residential College, Katie manages a full communications portfolio spanning digital content, enrollment marketing, internal messaging, and advancement initiatives. Her work focuses on cross-functional collaboration, campaign coordination, and creating clear, audience-centered communications that support institutional goals.
Katie’s background includes roles in national scholarship programs, nonprofit education, and K–12 teaching, where she developed expertise in instructional design, digital literacy programming, outreach and communications, and working with diverse audiences. These experiences inform her approach to accessible, effective messaging and strategic storytelling.
Katie holds an MS in Marketing from the University of Michigan–Dearborn and a BA in Arts & Ideas in the Humanities and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
