The physics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee was formed in Fall 2016. Our committee is composed of a dedicated group of individuals representing all of our department constituencies. committee membership insludes faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and staff from both the Physics Department and Applied Physics Program. Student participation is a core value to the DEI Committee and amny of our members are also engaged with student groups such as Society of Physics Students (SPS), Physics Graduate Council, Community of Physicists for Inclusion and Equity (CoPhIE), and the Willie Hobbs Moore Chapter of the National Society of Black Physicists (NSBP).
