Ahead of the LSA Job & Internship Fair the next day on Thursday, September 10, this event will prepare you for conversations with employers and recruiters. With the help of faculty, alums, and the staff at the LSA Opportunity Hub, you’ll learn practical tools, gain helpful advice, and grow a little more confidence in networking 💼

Join LSA alums and professionals for an open Q&A about navigating the working world. You’ll get honest advice on how to show up professionally, communicate with confidence, and avoid common missteps as you prepare for the Job & Internship Fair and beyond.

Topics may include:

Interviewing tips and strategies
Workplace communication and professional language
Navigating multigenerational workplaces
Communicating across differences
Building a portfolio
Using AI in job and career development
Following up after interviews
Professional etiquette — including how not to burn a bridge
Crafting and practicing your elevator pitch

Just started to explore what you can do with your major? Connect with faculty in small-group conversations about the many pathways available to LSA students.

Discussion topics may include:

Career pathways connected to different majors
How a liberal arts education prepares you for a wide range of fields

Learning about the value of your LSA degree

Session 2: Simulated Job Fair Experiences 🗣️

The Atrium
Open to all LSA students

Practice before the real thing! This interactive session will help you prepare for employer conversations at the LSA Job & Internship Fair.

You’ll have the chance to:

Participate in mock job fair conversations
Receive personalized coaching and feedback
Watch demonstrations of effective and ineffective employer interactions
Practice introducing yourself through role-playing exercises
Build confidence before meeting recruiters

Leave feeling more prepared and ready to make the most of the Job & Internship Fair.

💼 Day 2: The LSA Job & Internship Fair

Thursday, September 10 | 2:00–4:30 PM | LSA Building

The LSA Job & Internship Fair is for every LSA student — whether you’re just starting to explore career opportunities or you’re ready to apply for jobs and internships.

At the fair, you’ll meet employers from a wide range of industries who are excited to connect with LSA students. You can learn about internship and full-time job opportunities, ask questions, and get a better sense of what might be a good fit for you. Some of the employers you’ll meet:
