Teaching That Tackles Challenges
The most pressing challenges of our time don't belong to any one field. Democracy. Education. Technology. Sustainability. Solving them takes people who can think broadly, listen carefully, and act with purpose. LSA is preparing those people to tackle big questions together.
LSA’s new Grand Challenges Curriculum is one of the college’s most significant updates to undergraduate education in decades. Students won't just sample disciplines. They’ll work across them, guided by faculty from different fields who teach together and model what it looks like to approach hard problems from more than one direction.
The result is learning that clicks. Students leave these interdisciplinary courses with new knowledge. With new habits. With new ways of seeing problems, weighing evidence, and recognizing their own capacity to make a difference.
That's worth investing in. Champion a classroom where an astronomer and a storyteller might teach the same course. Support teaching that turns ideas into action. Help LSA prepare students for our complex world.
Every gift to LSA during the Look to Michigan campaign is an investment in life-changing education.
