Attend the LSA Job & Internship Fair

The largest event of its kind at the College

The annual LSA Job & Internship Fair is designed to support LSA students who are navigating the job and internship search process by providing them with access to employers and recruiters. Those crucial conversations help them explore the next steps in their career journey while also helping employers recruit candidates for current and future roles.

During this in-person event, you will have the opportunity to engage with LSA students in a traditional career fair format to share your organization's mission, culture, and projects; chat with students about available opportunities; clarify the application process; and identify potential candidates for your organization.

For additional information or questions regarding the event, please contact Ryan Olthoff (olthoff@umich.edu).

Why should your organization attend?

As the preeminent career event for the academic year, there is no better place than at the Job & Internship Fair to engage with students across wide-ranging majors and career interests, while getting a jumpstart on your own hiring needs for the upcoming months. The College of LSA houses over 85 majors across 41 departments. With over 20,000 students under our umbrella, we have the largest cohort of students across the University of Michigan campus. Their diverse academic backgrounds make them excellent problem solvers in cross-contextual dynamic, modern work environments.

Key advantages of recruiting these students include:

  • High Internship Rates: Approximately 73% of LSA graduates, according to the Opportunity Hub, complete at least one internship during their undergraduate years, meaning they bring practical, working-world experience directly to your team.
  • Broad Array of Hirable Skills: Hiring LSA students means hiring emerging young professions that are highly adaptable, bring interdisciplinary skill sets, possess strong communication abilities, and have broad critical thinking faculties.
  • Industry Versatility: LSA alums thrive across a massive variety of sectors, with top employers including Amazon, Michigan Medicine, Accenture, JP Morgan Chase, and the NIH.
