Share Your Experience. Support a Student’s Growth.
Help an LSA student explore career possibilities, build professional connections, and grow in confidence. The LSA Mentorship Program pairs students with experienced professionals and LSA alums for structured, one-on-one mentorship over the academic year.
Whether you graduated two years ago or twenty, your perspective can help a student connect their liberal arts education to possibilities for work and life. Through ongoing conversations, you’ll get to know your mentee, share insights from your own journey, and support them as they explore their interests and next steps. You don’t need to have all the answers—curiosity, encouragement, and a willingness to listen can make a meaningful difference.
How the program supports you
- A manageable commitment: A clear timeline helps you plan for mentorship. Matches meet at least three times over the course of the program, with flexibility to connect more often based on your schedules and goals.
- A thoughtful match: Interest forms help pair you with a student based on shared interests and preferences.
- Guidance along the way: Training and practical resources help you build trust, structure conversations, and support your mentee through career exploration and challenges.
What you’ll do as a mentor
- Share your experiences and perspectives to support your mentee’s professional development.
- Establish a regular meeting schedule and clear communication expectations together.
- Help your mentee explore career pathways, recognize their strengths, and identify manageable next steps.
The 2026–2027 LSA Mentorship Program runs from October 2026 through April 2027.
