Don't Forget To Pack: Handheld fans, cooling towels, and ice packs! It is super hot here during the summer sessions.

Best Left At Home: Rain Jacket and Umbrella or too many pairs of shoes.

Best Eats in the Area: Any gelato shop or restaurant in the main piazza.

Favorite Local Activity: Umbria Jazz Festival!

Where to Study: In your room where the fans are (I heard the local library has A/C but have not been myself).

Must-Try Local Dish: Pasta with wild boar sauce or torta al testo.

Best Photo Op: My apartment was an old castle and had amazing paintings inside.

Your Biggest Fail: Thinking I missed my connecting train in Florence, quickly buying a new ticket just to get off and find out that my first train had not yet made it to the station. That second ticket was an additional $70.

Buy This: Majolica pottery at the local market.

Not That: The pizza by the slice shops. Pizza is much better at a restaurant where you get a whole pizza.

Most Interesting Class: Ceramics

Best Part of the Program: Getting to learn how to make pottery while living in Italy.

Unforgettable Weekend Trips: I took a trip to Milan and Lake Como with my dad, and the museums were amazing! Lake Como was nice because the weather was much cooler during the heatwave.

Bonus Pro Tip/s:  Bring neutral clothes that can be mixed and matched, and light fabrics. I thought I packed super light and still brought way too many clothes because it was too hot to wear some of my clothes.
