On Monday, April 8, Simon Stoddart, archaeology professor at Cambridge University, will give a talk on Etruscan state formation. Stoddart will consider the underlying processes of settlement and infrastructure that supported the Etruscans’ political achievements. The talk is co-sponsored by UMMAA and IPCAA (the Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art and Archaeology at U-M). Noon to 1 p.m., 2229 School of Education Building, 610 E. University, Ann Arbor. The event is free and open to the public.
