Since April, U-M archaeology graduate student Soren Frykholm has been working at two Zapotec sites in Oaxaca, Mexico: Atzompa (with the Proyecto Arqueológico del Conjunto Monumental de Atzompa (PACMA) project) and Monte Albán (with the “Sismos de 2017” project). During the work at Atzompa, Frykholm excavated an offertory ceramic vessel, which he counts as one of the highlights of the season. He’ll continue working in Oaxaca until mid-August.
