On Friday, April 10, Henry T. Wright, curator of Near Eastern archaeology at the UMMAA and Albert Clanton Spaulding Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at the University of Michigan, offered the Museum’s first virtual brown bag lecture at noon as part of the UMMAA Brown Bag Lecture Series.

Wright’s lecture was entitled “Seen One Bottle, Seen’em All: Emerging Uruk State Networks of the Late IVth Millenium BCE.” He discussed changing organization in the Late Uruk period through a single common product of that time: the ceramic spouted bottle.
