Hello! My name is Shaina Tudayan. I served in the United States Army for 4 years as a 68W, healthcare specialist. I was stationed in Fort Benning, GA and later deployed to Iraq for 9 months where I worked in an emergency room and an aid station. Currently, I am majoring in Biology Health and Society, while on a Pre-Health track. My hobbies include drawing tattoos, snowboarding, making oddly specific Spotify playlists, and weight lifting. My plans for the future are to be happy and to provide mentorship through this program ;) (not like the military tho).
My name is Austin Melancon. I was in the Navy for 12 years as a Cryptologic Technician - Interpretive (CTI) (it's a fancy term for a linguist) and medically retired as an E6. I was stationed at the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center in Monterey, CA for training and at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. I deployed twice during my time in the Navy: Jan-Jul 2015 in the Mediterranean on three different destroyers and Feb-Apr 2016 on a nuclear submarine.
I am currently studying Plant Biology using VR&E (Chapter 31). After graduation, my partner and I plan to begin homesteading on a small farm focusing on sustainable practices while providing gardening education and fresh organic produce and goods to the local community (wherever we end up).
Hello! My name is Brandon Keyes and I served in the United States Army as a 25F, Network Switching Systems Administrator. I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and deployed to Iraq for a year in support of OIF III. Half of the time I was in the Green Zone, and the other half at al-Assad. Today, I am a junior and an Organizational Studies major with an Entrepreneurship minor. My hobbies include ice hockey, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, camping, hiking, and exploring Michigan with my wife, and two young sons. I have lived on the east coast, the west coast, the south, and the Midwest.
After graduation, I plan to complete law school. I have a passion for the equitable treatment of people, and my goal is to advocate for civil and human rights, especially for those in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
