Where did you transfer from? Henry Ford College
Why did you choose to transfer to the University of Michigan? I chose to transfer to the University of Michigan because of the multitude of opportunities that it has to offer, from research, to niche classes, to the lively campus, and everything in between.
Based on your personal experience, what is the one thing you want to tell new transfer students? Based on my experience, I would tell new transfer students to be yourself and work hard and the rest will follow! It’s a major life change that’s undoubtedly hard at first; once the adjustment period is over, you will have the footing and tools you need to succeed and fully enjoy your time at U-M.
How did you make friends and meet other students on campus? I’m lucky to have five amazing roommates that are now my great friends! Other than that, I joined clubs that I was interested in and put myself out there in class and social settings.
What is your favorite part about being an LSA transfer student? My favorite part of being an LSA transfer student is the campus culture and the camaraderie between transfer students.
Why did you choose your specific major(s)? I chose to major in Biology, Health, and Society because I want to be a dentist! The major requirements and dental school prerequisites overlap heavily, and its breadth of interesting and pertinent courses to choose from is also a plus.
