Where did you transfer from? Schoolcraft College

Why did you choose to transfer to the University of Michigan? I chose to transfer to the University of Michigan because of the academic and career opportunities they offer. I was interested in doing research, and Michigan has a lot of great opportunities like the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). 

Based on your personal experience, what is the one thing you want to tell new transfer students? There will be times where the workload can feel overwhelming but throughout the semester it will get easier and you will find a balance. I would recommend going to on-campus events, and don't be afraid to get out there!

How did you make friends and meet other students on campus? I met a lot of my friends through clubs, classes, and campus events. 

What is your favorite part about being an LSA transfer student? My favorite part about being an LSA transfer student is having the opportunity to build a close community with transfer students and others who share similar interests as me.

What do you know now that you wish you’d known before transferring to the University of Michigan?  I wish I knew more about the resources offered for on campus/off campus housing.

Why did you choose your specific major(s)? I chose my major because I am interested in doing cancer research and want to become an oncologist.
