Where did you transfer from? University of Tennessee at Martin

Why did you choose to transfer to the University of Michigan? It has always been a dream to go to UM but athletics took me in a different direction. But I am so excited to be able to come back and fulfill that dream -- Michigan’s academics and culture are unmatched.

Based on your personal experience, what is the one thing you want to tell new transfer students? That you can 100% find your people and your tribe. Yes, there IS room for you in friend groups and clubs on campus!

How did you make friends and meet other students on campus? I was lucky and already had friends here on campus that made my transition seamless, but I also attended transfer events, joined clubs and tried to be as social as I could on campus! It helps that everyone at U-M is friendly! :)

What is your favorite part about being an LSA transfer student? I can’t speak enough on how many resources LSA has to offer to its students. Between the Opportunity Hub, the Transfer Student Center, and the academics, LSA has so much to offer. It is up to you whether or not you take advantage of it!

Why did you choose your specific major(s)? I chose my specific major because I aspire to own my marketing agency, and thought Communications and Media would help me become a well-rounded individual in the marketing space.
