Christopher Roberts (Ph.D. 2010) has been recognized with the ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award for his 2010 dissertation titled Exploring Fractures Within Human Rights: An Empirical Study of Resistance (advisors: Somers/Waltz).  

The ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award is the highest award given by the UM Rackham Graduate School to doctoral students.  Dr. Roberts is currently a visiting scholar in the Center for the Study of Law and Society at the University of California Berkeley School of Law, Boalt Hall.  In the fall, he will be joining the University of Minnesota Law School faculty, as an associate professor.
