The type II seesaw mechanism introduces a hypercharged triplet boson to explain the observed neutrino masses and mixing. As a result, the model predicts a peculiar signature of a doubly charged boson decaying to same-sign di-leptons which can tell us about the neutrino mass pattern by observing the di-lepton branching fractions at the LHC. In this talk, we discuss some of the recent developments in the field including the latest LHC results, a novel phenomenon of triplet-antitri?plet oscillation leading to same-sign tetra-lepton signals,and modifications to the standard Higgs properties induced by the couplings between the Higgs doublet and triplet bosons.
