Speaker: Rachel Bean (Cornell University, Astronomy)
Understanding the fundamental origins of inflation is a major ambition for both cosmologists and high energy theorists. In this talk I present a cosmologist's perspective, discussing some of the observational consequences of brane inflation, including the different signatures it might have and also recent studies to quantify the likelihood of inflation in these models.
