Riya Mathur

An ALA Course Intern prepares students for internships and career opportunities by developing essential professional skills. I will facilitate discussions, oversee assignments, arrange guest speakers, and encourage active class participation to assist students' professional development. I will also work the Navigation Desk, connecting students, alums, and employers to Hub resources. 

I believe an education in the liberal arts has taught me to approach situations with an open mind and broad perspective, considering who my decisions will impact and how. It's shown me that my major applies far beyond its surface, and that what I know is only a fraction of what's out there. These are experiences I've spoken about in interviews, and I hope to carry them into my full-time job after graduation, continuing to learn as I grow.
